About Us
Our Story: From the Adirondacks to Your Home
At Premier Engraved Gifts, we believe that every lake tells a story. Whether it’s the place you grew up, a favorite vacation spot, or the site of a hard-earned catch, those waters hold memories. Our mission is to turn those memories into something you can hold in your hand and hang on your wall.
Humble Roots in Glens Falls
Our journey began in a small workshop in Glens Falls, New York. In the early days, we focused on the natural beauty of the wood itself, creating engraved live-edge signs that featured the winding shorelines of the Adirondacks. As we grew, so did our curiosity about what lay beneath the surface.
We transitioned from simple engravings to the intricate, multi-layered 3D bathymetric depth maps we are known for today. By layering premium wood to represent actual underwater topography, we found a way to bring the hidden depths of your favorite lakes to life.
Hand-Crafted Precision
We aren’t a giant factory; we are a dedicated team of three. Every piece that leaves our shop is the result of a balance between modern technology and old-school craftsmanship.
-
The Data: We don't take shortcuts with our designs. Every map is digitally hand-traced using official NOAA mapping data to ensure the depth contours and shorelines are as accurate as possible.
-
The Build: While we utilize five CO2 laser engraver/Cutters for pinpoint precision, the soul of the product comes from our hands.
-
The Finish: Every single layer is hand-painted and hand-assembled right here in our Upstate New York workshop.
Why We Do It
There is a specific kind of joy that comes from seeing a customer recognize "their" lake. Whether it’s a large-scale wall map, a custom clock, or a small holiday ornament, we take pride in knowing that our work helps preserve the connection people have to the places they love.
From our three-person team to your family, thank you for supporting a small-town shop and allowing us to do what we love every day.
"Designed by hand, cut by laser, and assembled with pride in Upstate New York."
